Takeda operates in Turkey since 2009; we are providing better health to patients in different therapeutic areas which are Oncology, Hematology, Genetic Diseases, Immunology and GI.

We are currently looking for a strong profile with the right attitude to join our Legal team as “Corporate Counsel“.

Job Purpose:

  • Being responsible for legal counselling in Turkey.

  • Support the leadership team of Turkey and the Lead Counsel Turkey. The role entails reporting to the Lead Counsel Turkey.

  • The responsibility covers all areas of law, including contract law, employment law, law on distribution, sales and marketing of pharmaceutical products, legal questions related to the access to markets, pricing and reimbursement as well as intellectual property, data privacy questions and corporate law matters. The candidate is expected to be able to work in close co-operation with other corporate and support functions, such as IP, regulatory, compliance, data privacy, medical and quality assurance.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Manages legal matters, such as contracts, litigation, government enquiries, complaints and others.

  • Establishes contacts and networks ensuring efficient legal counselling on key priorities.

  • Experience working within a complex organization and building strong cross-functional relationships with key partners.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex legal matters efficiently to stakeholders of the organization.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment with diverse stakeholders.

  • Possesses the confidence and cultural awareness to work effectively for a global company headquartered in Japan.

  • Capability to work on complicated regulations in a vague and rapidly changing regulatory environment.

  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization towards the business and within a GGC organization with both regional and global working teams with potentially overlapping responsibilities.

  • Travel to various meetings or client sites, including overnight trips. International travel will be required.

General Qualifications:

  • Master of Law degree from a reputable law school in Turkey.

  • Registered to Istanbul Bar Association.

  • Fluency in English.

  • 4+ years of professional experience.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or similar industry is an advantage.

  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively.

  • Good judgement for legal risk management.

  • Good communication skills.
